DOONA stroller & car seat all in one appeared on the Ukrainian market in 2016 and since then we have known this stroller, told about it and we advised our customers.

Now we can already summarize our experience and impressions of our clients, which they share with us and tell the following.

Here are the main situations when Doona is really a magic wand.

Buy it as a basic stroller to carry a baby, even if you are very mobile and mostly go somewhere by car would not be the best solution. Still, the shell of the seat is designed mostly as for the car seat. If you think to take it as a car seat for a long period it is also not the best idea.

Most comfortable in it for babies from 2 to 5-6 months.

Do you know how the Doona pushchair came into being?
It was developed by Israeli industrial designer Yoav Mazar He made this stroller for his daughter Daniel (hence the name - Doona). Dad and mom really wanted to take the daughter everywhere with them, but so that it was safe and convenient. This is how the car seat was created, specially adapted for travelling with a small child, for everyday convenient and simple use

So, the main advantage of this stroller is, of course, your mobility with a small child.

If you are not sitting at home, and are actively moving around the city with the children, you have frequent air travel, then this is your device. 

At the same time, you need to what age your child will be comfy in it. Do not literally take the manufacturer’s recommendations on the possibility to use the car seat up to 1.5 years old of the baby. All kids are different. And each of them may have completely different weight categories at 1 year old.

If your child is already about a year old and you will just have a flight for a couple of weeks to granny or to the seaside, then there will definitely be no sense to buy one. It is better to rent.

Also, if you arrive in Kyiv with a baby of 3 months and above (up to 81 cm high), then rent a car seat and a 2-in-1 stroller. It is quite logical and efficient than two items separately. According to our experience for newborn babies, as a rule, hire a pram and a car seat.

Stylish design

In real life, DOONA looks even better than on the picture. Very high-quality materials.
Unfolds and folds with ease. The handle easily moves out and turns. Here everything is intuitive.

When installed in a car, in many models, you don’t even have to worry about the seat being soiled with wheels, as it looks at first glance. Here, the lower wheels just do not reach the seat. And the upper ones go deep to the top and hide under the headrest.
In rain or snow, you will most likely have to spread a special protective mat and, possibly, put caps on the wheels (purchased separately).

The backrest in DOONA is somewhat higher than in ordinary car seats. After all, it is also a stroller! And its recline does not regulate.

Security

The stroller is really much stronger than it seems at first glance. It can bear the weight of an adult.
As a car seat DOONA passed the ADAC crash test. It complies with safety standard ECE R44/04.
There are double side walls and enhanced side protection (Safe Side).

Removable liner for newborns. Pleasant to the touch. Materials are hypoallergenic.

It is certified for use in an aircraft (but only without a base that is purchased separately). There is a special sticker confirming this fact. It can also be checked in. Moreover, the manufacturer took care of a special bag-case for it.

• The weight is 7 kg. Carrying it in hand with the child is, of course, difficult, but it’s not designed for it. Put it on the wheels and go!
• Seat depth is 28 cm;
• Unfolded size: 99 x 44 x 82 cm;
• Folded size: 60 x 44 x 66 cm (remember please that each carrier has its own requirements for carry-on baggage!);
• Backrest length is 50 cm.
• The backrest is not adjustable. It’s like a car seat of the Group 0-13 kg with a solid bowl-like shell.
